Accreditation of AMIIUNA
Al-Madinah International Islamic University of North America is accredited by the Islamic Sunni Accreditation Council, ensuring our religious and spiritual degree programs align with the beliefs and doctrines of the Sunni Brelvi denomination.
Al-Madinah International Islamic University of North America operates under a unique exemption in Arizona state allowing it to provide religious-based education without the typical state licensing and regional accreditation requirements. This exemption applies because, in certain U.S. states, institutions that offer degree programs specifically aligned with a particular religious denomination solely for religious purposes may be excluded from conventional regulatory oversight. As a result, University focuses on delivering an education rooted in its religious beliefs, catering to students who seek to deepen their understanding and practice within that faith tradition. This framework supports the institution’s mission to cultivate a community centered on shared values and spiritual growth. Arizona state give liberty of separation of church and religion as mentioned in 1st amendment of U.S constitution of religious freedom. Our parent organization Summit Theism mission is a tax-exempt organization in Arizona state and is entitled to operate religious institutions to grant religious degrees legally after meeting certain requirements.
AMIIUNA does not have regional accreditation which is a voluntary process for higher education institutions and operates under the auspices of the Arizona commission of postsecondary education. As a result, graduates of the university are empowered to use designated titles for their degrees, affirming the legitimacy of their qualifications. This provision allows degree holders to confidently present their educational achievements in religious professional and academic contexts. The degrees conferred by AMIIUNA are recognized as valid, enabling graduates to pursue various opportunities in their respective fields for religious purpose. Consequently, students can gain the educational credentials necessary for personal and professional growth, enhancing their prospects in religious jobs.
